SSC GD Constable Recruitment 2021: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is likely to soon release the exam notification for the recruitment of Constable (General Duty or GD) in CAPFs, NIA, SSF, and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles. The recruitment will fill nearly 40 thousand posts of GD constable.
Along with the cancellation of a few exams, the commission on May 7 postponed the SSC GD constable notification due to an unprecedented surge in Covid-19 cases in India. Earlier, the commission was scheduled to release the notification in the first week of May.
While postponing the notification, the Commission said that it will release the notification of the examination in due course after “assessing the COVID-19 situation” in the country.
So, the candidates have been advised to close track of SSC’s official website — ssc.nic.in — for getting the latest updates on the SSC GD Constable Exam 2021.

SSC GD Constable Recruitment 2021- Details
Application Fees:
- Application fees (Non-refundable) – Rs. 100/-
- No fee is required to be paid by women/SC/ST/ex-servicemen candidates who are exempted from fee payment.
Eligibility Criteria:
Age Limit: Candidates should be aged between 18 and 25 years.
Educational Qualification: Indian citizens who have passed Class 10 from a recognized board can apply for the SSC GD exam. They should have scored at least 50 percent in Class 10.
Selection Process:
SSC GD selection process consists of Computer-Based Examination (CBE), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST), and medical examination. The complete steps of the selection process are as explained below:
Required Documents:
- Class 10th Result or it’s equivalent Mark Sheet.
- Certificate for proof of date of birth (Standard 10 or its equivalent certificate or mark sheet indicating date of birth or School Leaving Certificate indicating date of birth).
- Caste certificate for SC/ST/OBC.
- Adhaar Card.
- Recent Color Passport Photograph.
How to Apply for SSC GD constable Recruitment 2021:
Candidates can fill SSC GD application form in two parts – registration and application. Candidates can follow the procedure given below:
Part I– SSC GD Constable Registration
♦ First, go to the official website for SSC GD Constable recruitment 2021 registration.
♦ Go to the login section and click the Registration button.
♦ During SSC GD Constable 2021 registration, candidates need to fill in the Basic details, additional details, contact details, photo signature, and LTI.
♦ Provide information about the Aadhaar number/Aadhaar enrollment number/identity card and its number, Parents’ name, the Candidate’s name as given in the Class 10 certificate.
♦Candidates are also required to fill in their date of birth as given in the Class 10 certificate
♦Candidates need to fill in details of their Class 10 exam, during SSC GD Constable registration which includes – the name of the education board, roll number, and year of passing.
♦ Enter gender, highest educational qualification, mobile number, email ID, etc
♦ After filling in the basic details, candidates need to confirm their mobile number and email ID
♦ On confirming, registration ID and password will be sent to the candidate’s registered mobile number and email ID.
♦ Candidates can proceed towards filling the ‘Additional Details’ by clicking the Next button.
♦ Candidates need to fill Category, Nationality, Identification Mark, Temporary and Permanent Address.
♦ Upload scanned photograph and signature and clicking the ‘Final Submit’ different OTPs will be sent to the candidate’s registered mobile number and email ID.
♦ Candidates need to enter the OTPs to complete the registration process.
♦ After submission of basic information, if the registration process is not completed within 7 days, the data will be deleted from the system
♦ After completion of the registration process, basic details can be changed only once.
Part II – Online SSC GD Constable Recruitment Application Form
♦ Candidates need to login into their account through a registered email ID and password.
♦ Candidates can change the password when asked to do the same.
♦ Click the ‘Apply’ link in the SSC GD Constable section under the ‘Latest Notifications’ tab. Information filled during SSC GD Constable 2021 registration will be auto-filled and are non-editable.
♦ Candidates need to enter their preferences of exam centers. They can choose three exam centers in the order of preference
♦ Candidates need to select Domicile State/ UT and District of Domicile, give preference of CAPFs/ Organizations and their highest qualification.
♦ Information regarding photo/signature/biometric impression is filled automatically from one-time SSC GD Constable registration data.
♦ Candidates should pay the application fee online or SBI Challan and candidates need to complete their application process by clicking on the ‘I Agree’ check box and fill the captcha code.
♦ Take a printout of the SSC GD Constable recruitment 2021 application form for further reference.
